Sit back, relax. We have your weekend all sorted. Yes, the long-awaited Briagolong Film Festival is finally here. The opening film, The Water Diviner, was an absolute show-stealer last night. What a blast. We’re not saying there was dancing on the tables afterwards, but everyone clearly enjoyed themselves.
Don’t worry – there’s plenty left to see and do. It’s a BIG WEEKEND – check out the full program and lineup. You’ll get a cosy fire, a warm welcome and a hi from the team. In the evening sessions, there is also wine on sale from Glenmaggie Wines.
The Briagolong Pub is doing special pre-screening meals – call early to book your place. And the Riverstone Cafe will also be open all weekend with delicious meals, cakes and coffee. Not forgetting the bargains you can uncover in the amazing treasure trove that is Rust Emporium. While you’re waiting for Frozen to start on Saturday morning (or afterwards), why not pop along to Prince and Poppet to check out the gorgeous baby and children’s store (unique clothes, toys, accessories and fun stuff!), or a treat for yourself at Caroline Taylor’s handmade soaps. The popular Makers Market and Lions Shed is on Sunday from 9am to 1pm, and the Briagolong Art Gallery will be open, so there’s plenty of time to have a wander before having lunch and heading back to the hall.
So don’t leave town between films, there’s plenty to do around here. You can always go for a drive and explore our beautiful countryside – The famous Blue Pool is only 5min up the road. Or pop up to Dargo via Beverley’s road (about an hour from town) if you have a long break between films.
See you here, then 🙂
